Alameda Island Brewing Company

If you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area, hop in to Alameda Island Brewing Company for a refreshing beer flight! AIBC was founded by Matthew Fox after home brewing for eight years. If you are a fan of fresh craft beer and expert beer tending, this is your place!

Beer flight on deck = Cavanagh Kolsch, Control Alt Delete, Exiled (Kottbusser), Neptunes Pale Ale and Alameda’s IPA. CHEERS!

To go, we could not resist the most badass and car-safe growler ever invented at AIBC – that’s the Alameda Island flag in their logo!

Faction Brewing

Husband and wife brewing team Rodger Davis and Claudia Pamparana came up in the beer business together, he at long gone San Francisco Brewing and she at the (also out of biz) Steelhead Brewery Fisherman’s Wharf location. Davis went on the become Head Brewmaster at Drakes Brewing Company in San Leandro and Triple Rock Brewery (owned by Drake’s Beer) in Berkeley, creating such beer masterpieces as the Denogginizer (double IPA; not for the faint of heart) and Keyser Soze Russian Imperial Stout. Faction Brewing is known for their hop forward but not overly bitter brewskis, including a line of incredibly balanced seasonal IPAs. The beer here is so good, we just had to go with a double flight! Arrive at dusk to imbibe while watching the sun set behind San Francisco’s majestic skyline from Hanger 22, the former Navy base that Faction converted to an ever growing brewhouse! Ready for takeoff!
