Rogue Ales & Spirits Portland

Rogue Ales & Spirits was founded in Ashland, California in 1988 by Nike alumni Bob Woodell, Rob Strasser and Jack Joyce with a mission “to brew the finest varietal ales & spirits in the world!” Mission accomplished! Rogue Ales holds a special place in our hearts, embodying all we love in a brewery – farm to bottle freshness, community beer and a revolutionary spirit.

Rogue has come a long way since their original Ashland location…all the way to Portland, Oregon’s Pearl District! Today’s beer flight at the brewpub = Issaquah White Frog Ale (Witbier), Double Chocolate Stout, Wasted Sea Star Purple Ale (brewed with purple corn nectar!) and Morimoto Soba (Buckwheat) Ale! Cheers!

Widmer Brothers Brewing

Brothers Bob and Kurt Widmer began home brewing in 1979, eventually going professional grade in 1984 with the launch of Widmer Brothers Brewing Company in Portland’s industrial-at-the-time Pearl District.

Widmer Brothers Brewing’s legendary hefeweizen came to market two years later. They merged with Redhook Brewery to form publicly traded Craft Brew Alliance (ticker: BREW) in 2008, and together bought Kona Brewing Company in 2010. Omission Beer hit the shelves in 2012, serving the growing market for gluten free craft beer. Square Mile Cider’s introduction to the scene expanded Craft Brew Alliance’s portfolio into craft cider in 2013.

Make no mistake, Widmer Brothers is big beer business! Budweiser parent company Anheuser Busch InBev owns a third of Craft Brew Alliance and ably manages national distribution, pushing CBA into the top 10 brewing companies in America!

Hop into Widmer Brothers’ Portland brewpub for a taste of beer history and a delectable rainbow beer flight! Cheers!
